Short answer question is another question type which might seem difficult but is very interesting and easy, once understood.
Once you listen to the audio, you will be given a question which you would have to answer in limited words (as directed in the question). This is simply the short answers.

HOW TO DO IT??

Here are some steps to follow:

📌 READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

This is, let’s say, the most important advice I would give to you. You are supposed to read the instructions below the question carefully.
For instance, if the direction is to write 2 words only, and you write 3 words instead, your answer would be marked as wrong and you will lose a score even if the answer is right.
Hence, read the instructions and follow them. Okay?

🔍 WATCH FOR SYNONYMS OR PARAPHRASING

Some of the words in the audio and in the questions might be different. The words would vary; however, they would convey the same meaning.
For example, if the audio says, “It is essential for the police to collaborate with the citizens.”
The question might say, “Who needs to cooperate with the citizens?” (The answer would be “police”)
Hence, you should be aware of the synonyms or paraphrasing words if they are asked in the question.

⚠️ LOOK OUT FOR THE DISTRACTING CONTENT

It is important for you guys to listen clearly so that you can detect the distracting content in the audio.
For instance, if the audio says, “The price of that fancy clock was $500; however, it was sold with 20% discount, at the price of $400.” This way, you would know the correct answer.
So, keep looking out for the distractors.
